Harmony Day - Everyone Belongs

Students linking arms to form an unbroken chain while passing a hoop from student to student.
At Mount Isa Central students are very proud of their multi-cultural heritage.  On 27th March students, teachers and families celebrated Harmony Day in conjunction with the National Day against Bullying and Violence.  Students wore orange (the colour of harmony and anti-bullying) as they participated in a number of very important awareness raising activities.  The highlight of the morning’s celebrations was when the whole school joined together to participate in a “Play is the Way” activity, linking arms and passing a hoop from student to student without breaking the link, thus demonstrating the unity within Central State School. Many parents and carers provided delicious dishes from around the world for our whole school to come together and share.
